Hey there! My name is Cameron, but most people call me Diego—it's my middle name. I'm a UX/UI Designer from the Panhandle of Texas. I grew up in a small town called Idalou, surrounded by endless fields of farmland and cotton.
Growing up in a place like that made me want to spread my wings, so I took my educational journey to Santa Monica College before transferring and graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, concentrating on Digital Media.
During college, I worked as a Team Lead at Target, where everything revolved around the guest experience—how we could improve it, streamline it, and make every interaction better. At the time, I had my sights set on becoming a graphic designer. That changed when I had a conversation with a regular guest, who introduced me to UX/UI design. The more I learned, the more I realized—this was what I had been searching for all along! It was everything I had loved about graphic design, but with strategy and user experience at its core.
Near the end of my college career, I took the next step by enrolling in UTSA's UX/UI and Front-End Development Bootcamp to sharpen my skills. With my background in leadership, communication, and problem-solving, I thrive in collaborative environments where I can help a team grow while continuously learning myself.
I’ve always believed in being part of something greater, and UX/UI design is exactly that—a perfect blend of creativity, strategy, and technology, all centered around making digital experiences more intuitive and meaningful.
My goal as a UX/UI Designer is to create user-centered solutions that are seamless, engaging, and impactful.
